Built on Realistic Financial Education
We started Mylextron because too many Australians were making investment decisions without understanding what they were actually getting into.
Back in late 2023, we noticed something troubling. People around us were jumping into investment opportunities based on nothing more than glossy promises and vague reassurances. When we asked basic questions about risk profiles or portfolio diversification, we got blank stares.
That's when we realized the real problem wasn't access to investment products—it was access to honest, straightforward financial education. So we built Mylextron with one clear purpose: help everyday Australians understand what they're doing with their money before they do it.
We're not here to sell you a magic formula or promise unrealistic returns. We're here to walk you through the actual mechanics of investing, the genuine risks involved, and the realistic timelines for building wealth. Because understanding that foundation makes all the difference between confident decisions and costly mistakes.
How We Got Here
The journey from frustration to creating something useful took longer than we expected, but every step taught us something important.
Early 2024: The Research Phase
We spent months talking to ordinary people about their investment experiences. What we heard was consistent: lots of confusion, plenty of regret, and almost universal frustration with resources that either oversimplified everything or buried practical advice under jargon. We knew we could do better.
Mid 2024: Building the Framework
We started small, creating plain-language guides that explained actual investment concepts without dumbing them down. We tested everything with real people who weren't finance professionals. If they found something confusing, we rewrote it until it clicked. This iterative process became our standard approach.
Late 2024: Going Live
We launched our first educational resources in November 2024. The response surprised us. People appreciated the honesty—the fact that we acknowledged market volatility exists, that losses happen, and that building wealth takes time. Turns out, treating people like adults who can handle reality was exactly what they wanted.
Today: Continuous Improvement
We're constantly updating our materials based on feedback and market changes. Our upcoming autumn 2025 workshops will introduce more advanced topics for those ready to go deeper. But our core mission stays the same: help Australians make informed financial decisions through clear, honest education.
The People Behind Mylextron
We're a small team with complementary backgrounds in finance, education, and clear communication. No corporate fluff—just people who care about getting this right.
Gregor Lindbeck
Gregor spent fifteen years in traditional finance before realizing most people struggled with concepts he took for granted. His strength is breaking down complex strategies into practical steps anyone can follow without needing a finance degree.
Toivo Rasmussen
Toivo brings an educator's perspective to everything we create. He's obsessive about clarity and refuses to publish anything until it passes what he calls the "kitchen table test"—would this make sense if you explained it to a friend over coffee?
What Guides Our Work
These aren't corporate values we stuck on a wall. They're principles we actually use when making decisions about what to create and how to present it.
Honest About Risk
Every investment carries risk. We explain what those risks actually look like in practice, not just as a legal disclaimer. If something can lose value, we say so clearly and help you understand what that means for your situation.
Realistic Timeframes
Building wealth takes time. We design our educational paths around realistic timelines—think years, not months. Our upcoming programmes starting in mid-2025 reflect this patient approach to financial learning and growth.
Plain Language Always
Financial jargon exists, and sometimes you need to understand it. But we explain terms in everyday language first, then show you the technical version. You shouldn't need a dictionary to understand your own money decisions.
No False Promises
We won't promise specific returns or guaranteed outcomes because that's not how investing works. What we can promise is that you'll understand the strategies we discuss, the reasoning behind them, and how to evaluate whether they fit your goals.
